Gabrielle is super excited to be in the Degree Completion Office as a student success coach. Before coming to this magical office, she was a student at IUPUI (2013–2016) and received her B.A. in Communication Studies (which makes her awesome) and a minor in sociology (she loves people). The office staff didn’t want to see her leave, so they encouraged her to apply to be the student services specialist for the office. Gabrielle did and started as a professional at IUPUI in July 2016.
Since becoming a professional, she has received the GREAT Award from the Division of Undergraduate Education (she is so awesome), has been promoted to student success coach, and is the chairperson of the IUPUI Black Faculty and Staff Council (the youngest to ever do it)! Starting in fall 2019, she will be pursuing her Master in Public Affairs with a concentration in innovation and social change through the Paul H. O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs.
On a personal note, she loves Disney, Beyoncé, and traveling out of the country. She also does some acting in the community and modeling. Her colleagues describe her as caring, empathetic, personable, vibrant, dynamic, enthusiastic, passionate, extrovert, and fierce.
