May Moore is a student success coach for IU Online. She primarily assists distance education students by serving as a personal point of contact to their campus. During their educational career, May keeps students connected to university resources and provides individualized success plans and outreach. However, her main goal is to help students learning from a distance feel like a part of the IU family.
May received her Bachelor of Continuing Studies degree with a concentration in arts and humanities from Indiana University Bloomington. She is currently pursuing an online master's degree in student development counseling and administration. May has previous higher education experience as a student services representative and as a financial aid analyst. She had the opportunity to mentor through UPWARD Bound at Indiana University Bloomington. Because of that opportunity, and plenty more, she has chosen student development and higher education as her career path. Her mentor helped tremendously during her educational journey. Therefore, she knows how beneficial it is to have an encouraging support system.
In her free time, May loves to hang out with the coolest kid she knows, her son, Fabian. They have a beautiful (crazy) rescue cat named Catherine the Great. She enjoys exercising, reading, knitting, and hanging out by the pool.
May encourages students to call, email, or walk in. She is here to assist you in any way she can!
