PortfoliosA portfolio is a collection of work and documentation that represents your learning. Portfolios are reviewed by departments or faculty to determine the appopriate amount of credit.
CoursesA course to assess your prior learning is required by some schools and programs. These courses guide you through the process of earning credit for knowledge you've already acquired.
ExaminationSome programs and courses allow students to test out by taking an exam. This method is often referred to as credit by examination or proficiency by examination.
ApplicationSome credit can be assigned through an application process. The school or department will provide a form to collect the information they need to review the request.
Military experienceStudents who received an honorable discharge or who are currently serving in the United States military and who enroll at IUPUI may receive college credit for military training or experiences.
