IU School of Informatics and Computing

Do you have a passion for computing that makes a difference? A degree in informatics could be for you! The Informatics Bachelor of Science program will show you how people and technology connect by integrating principles of computer science, information systems, and design, as well as psychology and sociology through a tailor-made curriculum. An informatics degree will prepare you to think big picture, build strong technical skills, and understand how technology is used effectively to communicate, work, heal, play, and solve problems that are facing society and industry.

You'll also select an area of specialization, which will help you apply informatics in another discipline—for example, biology, business, computer science, health science, human-computer interaction, law, or new media. What's more, you do not have to be a computer whiz to join this program! You'll learn the ropes along the way.
